Our story began in response to my struggles with adult acne and eczema. While I was aware of brands—many of which I used—that addressed my skin problems, they were either too expensive or too medicinal. So, I was driven to create  skincare products that helped people, like me, who were in search of a remedy that would naturally treat acneic, eczema, and diabetic skin. I thought it would be smart to use natural ingredients which were heralded by my grandmothers and great grandmothers who understood the effectiveness of unrefined oils, fruit seeds, butters, and plant-based preservatives. These home remedies transformed unique skin types and problems associated with dry skin, water loss, and eczema. Hence, the name Smart Cookie Skincare. 

Since our launch, I have continued to devote time and research to skin physiology and botanicals that naturally heal and repair the skin.
